About the Founder

Some businesses are born from inspiration. ROOTS Collective was born from survival, restoration, and a relentless belief that people deserve to feel safe, well, and fully alive in the spaces they inhabit.

I'm a mother of three remarkable souls — Kaison, resilient and wise beyond his 13 years, an exceptional role model to his siblings; John (Boogie), wild-hearted and endlessly loving at three; and Hayleigh, radiant and beloved, the light of our family at one. Each one beautiful, strong, and extraordinary. Everything I build begins with them.

I am also profoundly grateful to walk through this life beside my husband, John — an angel of a man and my best friend. His steadiness, his love, and the quiet refuge of the home we share remind me daily of what these spaces are truly for.

Before ROOTS became a brand, it was a necessity.

There was a season of my life where everything appeared beautiful on the outside while quietly unraveling underneath. Chronic stress, environmental toxicity, nervous system exhaustion, and eventually living in multiple homes affected by severe toxic mold forced me into a deeper search for answers — not only for myself, but for my children.

What began as a severe personal health crisis became an awakening to how profoundly our environments shape the way we feel, restore, connect, and live.

And then life changed again.

When Kaison was eight years old, his father — a firefighter struggling with PTSD and battles far deeper than anyone fully understood — died by suicide while I was five months pregnant with Boogie.

That loss reshaped everything.

It changed the way I viewed mental health, trauma, chronic stress, and the invisible weight so many people carry behind closed doors — especially our first responders and military communities.

A couple of days after I shared the news with Kaison, he asked me a question I will never forget:

"Momma, how can you use your work to help other people not feel what I feel about my daddy?"

That moment became part of the foundation of ROOTS.

While his father had been diagnosed with PTSD, I often found myself wondering how much more of his story lived beneath the surface — physiological depletion, chronic inflammation, environmental burdens, nervous system overload, and the silent imbalances traditional approaches so often fail to fully explore.

Combined with our family's experience navigating toxic mold exposure and chronic health challenges, it profoundly shaped both my perspective and the people I feel called to serve.

Over time, I realized restoration could not be separated from the spaces we inhabit.

The homes we live in. The materials surrounding us. The environments shaping our nervous systems every single day.

After experiencing firsthand how deeply a home can impact physical and emotional well-being, I became passionate about creating spaces differently — spaces designed not only to be beautiful, but to support the people living inside them.

That philosophy eventually became ROOTS Development & Design.

At the same time, I found myself increasingly drawn to the experience of wellness beyond the clinical setting. The way intentional spaces make people feel. The quiet luxury of being cared for well. The atmosphere, design, textures, lighting, hospitality, and emotional experience that allow people to soften, reconnect, and truly exhale.

I began to believe that wellness should not feel sterile or transactional. It should feel grounding. Restorative. Elevated. Timeless.

That belief became the broader vision behind ROOTS Collective — a space where wellness, hospitality, design, and human experience could coexist beautifully.

ROOTS Collective exists for those seeking more than surface-level luxury — for people who want the spaces around them to support the way they live, feel, connect, and restore.

My approach blends science-backed wellness principles with timeless design, emotional intelligence, and lived experience. Every offering inside ROOTS Collective is rooted in the belief that true transformation happens when beauty, nature, wellness, function, and human connection are fully aligned.

Because restoration is not one-dimensional. And neither is life.

As a mother, entrepreneur, and someone who has rebuilt from the ground up more than once, I understand the importance of creating spaces that allow people to exhale. Spaces that calm the nervous system, foster connection, and bring people back to themselves.

That is the heart behind everything we create.

Rooted in nature. Aligned by science. Elevated by design.

Transforming human potential — from the inside out.
